| | scared | ] | I had to pop out to the shop late tonight and it turned out to be a surprisingly nice walk. It was kind of wierd in it's pleasent-ness. It was quite and still and on the way up to the shop it was raining, not in a great pour or spitting but just a nice light rain that was nice until I started to think about it too much and brought back there will fall soft rains and oh God now I won't sleep tonight.

I was much older and had previously stared in the origianl Ghost busters movie along side Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson and Bill Nighy instead of Bill Murray. The film had been such a huge success that we were all living like rock stars off of it without doing any other real work, Me and Bill especially with the rock star antics, Akroyd and Ernie were a little more level headed. Our agents and Managers had been milking the Ghostbusters franchise a bit but it hadn't lost any popularity. As Me and Bill were walking towards our managers office we were laughing that you could probably make "Ghostbuters on Ice" and people would lp it up. We were going in to the office to go over some promotional gig that we thought was lined up in a couple of days Our manager had told us about it yesterday and said it was in about a week. When we get in He starts going nuts asking us where we have been. Bill rather sarcastically asks him why he comlpaining about us being late when Akroyd and Ernie weren't even there. The Manager tells us that they are at the gig now, that the meeting about it was a week ago and we'd been completely unreachable since. He ask us seriously where the two of us have been and Bill answers; "Jeez, I don't know probably just off having sex all week". There is a wierd silence at the end of which I turn my head really slowely to the manager and add. "yeaaahh, but not with each other."
Ok so it doesn't seem so funny a dream but you really had to be there. |

| | None | ] | So. Way back in the summer of last year I attended Amecon and met up with my good friend Chibi and met some of her friends from sunny Bristol and we all got on hansomly. We don't get to see Chibi very so when we ('we' being me and my friends here in Buckinghamshire) hear she and the peoples from Bristol are going to be visiting London for a few days and want to know if we want to meet up with them we all loose it and flip out excitedly. The other day was the day to see them so myself, Sherry, Alex and Mo all hopped on a train and headed into London to see Chibi and The Shines. We met Chibi and Andy outlide Leicester Square station and went to meet the others at a resturant in China town where we had a good hearty meal and a conflab. We got to meet a couple more shines too!
After the meal we split up into a coupleof groups, some heading for Forbidden planet, the others for the Trocadero. On the way to Forbidden planet Sherry told me that Andy had come out to her as gay or bi (she wasn't clear which), at Amecon he had been quite fabulous so it wasn't a big deal really. Sherry also insinuated that I wanted to have sexual realations with him and though not really ture I did have to think about it for a moment or five. Forbidden Planet the usual aray of highly desirable books, Dvds and other merchandise. In particular figures for the up coming Watchmen movie. After having a good nose we heade out to meet the others at the Trocadero where me and the Feebs discovered the Tokyo Toys store which was very exciting for us.
By this time it was getting late and Chibi wanted to split off with us and Sophie to go to Camden even though it was getting late. Camden is a favoured place for us and Chibi andas we were only down for the day and they were leaving for Bristol the next day she wanted to spend the rest of our time together there. We visited only few shops there but I got a new dress. Chibi got a dress too, with some accesories and Sophie got a jacket. The Feebs got some things too and soon the market and shops were closing and we had to go.
We said goodbye to a couple of Shines who had popped into Camden to meet use all and then Goodbye to Chibi at Euston.
It was a really good day out and it especially good to see Chibi and the Shines again.
Later in the week I popped back into London to pick up a special release type edition of the new Scott Pilgrimm book with a signed art print in it and took the time to visit Tokyo Toys and spend more money then I should have done on a figure and this other dress I had seen before.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOexcessive exclamation marks
igot a job, i have to go to it soon. I'm really not looking forward to it but i need a job to support my colloge course and that really the only reason i'm taking this job, i just want the money for my education. If i wasn't going to collage i probably wouldn't take this job even for the money, though if i wasn't gong to collage i could get a nice factroy job where my appearence wasn't such a big issue. In a few minutes i'm going to have to start taking my piercing out because they aren't allowed. i'm especially not looking forward to that part of the job. It's actaully quite a big thing for me as i'm very attached to my piecing. i'm going to feel very uncomfortable without them which isn't going to help me interact with customers and "smile more". Really it's not like i don't smile, i do quite a bit, but it's not my default expression as i imagine my manager is going to expect it to be. i'm also supposed to consult my manager everytime I want to got new piercing but like hell is that going to happen. i managed to swipe a pair of my father's smart shoes, they look good on him when he wears them but they look pretty ridiculous on the end of my stumps but in funny sort of way, not upsetting at all. Ugh. Given the chance i'd probably complain about this forever and I haven't even done one days work yet. Even if the joob isn't as bad as i imagine it (which will probably be the case) the whole piercing thing will still upset me, even the fact that i'd probably get fired if I shaved the sides of my head again like I wanted isn't such a big deal. Blurgh! But like i said my art course and getting onto an illustration course at uni is really important to me right now so I'm just going to have to deal with it.
Stiff upper lip.

It is really hard to contain the excitement this video evokes in me. I'd seen a video of the big dog robot before but it didn't include a few of the tricks in this one. I'm just so darn impressed with the things it's doing in this video and it brings a huge smile to my face. It was also strangely cute when it slipped up on the ice and snow but carried on, go little guy; go. Other areas of technological advancery and so on are cool, yeah, but robotics is what always excites me the most. There was a programme on recently with James May about robots and there were a couple of things on there that were really impressive too.

Yes? Hello? I guess college is important and exciting enough to talk about. Um so I’m doing college now…Yay. I am actually very exciting about it and the course is really important. I’m doing a foundation diploma or foundation studies diploma. Either way it’s a big shoe in the door for University; so long as I do well. I want to say more about it as it’s an important part of my life right now (more than the colour of my hair, god I hate my hair so much right now) but nothing really comes to mind. The course has been running for six days now including two induction days last week. I guys I’ll have more to think about after this week as the classes this week have been more introduction to the subjects and setting of course briefs. I’m quite looking forward to 3-D work again though our given subject of sails and related shapes isn’t to my fancy though I think I might be able to work something cool with aero-foils. Print work will probably be good fun as it was before and I’ll be glad to have another go at dry point. Textiles is not for another fie weeks and I think photography is further away, boo.
I got Die So Fluid’s second album “Not everybody gets a happy ending”. The album art is beautiful. The first four tracks aren’t my favourites and I think all of their first album is preferable to them (mind you Spawn of Dysfunction must be one of my most favourite albums ever) but track five onward is great and I especially like “Vorvolaka”. Actually “Gang of one” is pretty darn awesome too so forget that first four songs thing. |

When I do actually get round to produce quality story pages of Sho and G's life (lol, never) the first chapter/arc/what have you will concentrate a lot on their time at secondary school, specifically G's. Because of this that is what I've been focusing on recently. I put a couple of pictures up on my DA of Sho and G from their school days and I was hoping to have some other good pictures done but the last couple of days I haven't been able to produce much that I haven't instantly torn up and thrown away except for this. So for now here is a picture of G's friends from school. Yeah Sarah is a bit of a bitch Scots is the only one really referred to by any nicknames as... well you can't have two Marys |

 Con Badge, yay
Phew, Amecon was one long weekend of awesome. True story! There were a couple of not so hot-spots sure, between events say and walking up from Opal court in shoes that seriously wanted to kill me. Suckage between events was greatly reduced after visiting the dealer's room. Oh God that place wanted all my monies and I would have let it have them had the local ATM not all ran out of cash sterling. On the first day I picked up a Haruhi and a Yuki Figma figure, Asuka Langley Soryu and a Rei Ayanami Revoltech firures and a Revoltech Zero-type Patlabor. Had there been any Revoltech Yotsuba, Danbo or Ingram 1 or 2s I would have certainly picked them up on the first day too along with a Figma Asahina had they been about but alas none could be found. Many other things caught my attention, such as a variety of Tachikomas and a 1:6 scale Misa but I put of buying straight away as I actually had a budget to keep to (boo). The Figma figures are a huge wad of fun to play with and a lot of the time spent back in our room was spent messing about with them and the Revoltech. Asuka looks good in white but Rei really doesn't suit red. We visited the dealers room again on both the other days and my fiends put down a lot more money.
, Jack as Walter and the first cosplayer spotted after arriving
Time in between events wasn't all spent in our room though, we would also hang out in the flat common room with our flat mates who we hadn't met before but were all awsome. They were all friends of Chibi, who strangely didn't stay with us or even in our block, we missed her, it was great to see her again too, the city of Bristol sucks fro not being closer to us; or Buckingham for not being nearer them. Either way Chibi's friends were great to hang out with and were all really fuckenn talented at cosplay (jealous rage).
Nobu, Nana(who was freaking hot) and Hachi, a Schrodinger is fine too
Events I really enjoyed were the AMV disco on the Friday night and the J-rock/Pop disco on the Saturday night which made of dancing and sweating wearing my awesome EGL dress. The cosplay masquerade was good and there were some awesome cosplay on display, though having arrived late we were sat up on a balcony that sucked for taking pictures as the lighting wasn't great in the hall. I wasn't hugely inclined to go to the ball on the Sunday night, I was in a mood, but I was talked into in thankfully and it was pretty neat, though I felt horribly underdressed and will make a much bigger effort next year.
Oh shi- Rimmer out of no-where, "we are averting our eyes O'lord"
This was Sherry, Alex and my self's first convention and if I'm honest I don't think we were completely prepared or knew what to expect but having had an awesome time at Amecon and seeing what goes on and who does which we can do a lot better next year. I am so going again. Me and Alex have already been discussing cosplay ideas and even though there is a year to go I have at lest one I know I'll definitely do and there are a couple of con's in between that I might look to attend money and time allowing. |

| | My Ruin | ] | The last six or something weeks I've been doing some temp work for some friends of my Dad who also run a t-shirt printing business. They had a couple of huge orders coming in and needed some extra hands, one of the orders was for that Spore game, they were pretty cool design, though after about seven thousand shirts I began to tire of them. Well I could rant about the job a bit because there was trouble with some of the prints but working there really wasn't so bad except for the fact that whenever I got home I was always in a completely uncreative mood. I could flail my limbs at a media and hope for art to happen but it just wasn't working. Now I'm sure the awesome artists out the can work in the worst of moods when they need to get something done and I wish I could but currently I can't. So I had a few weeks of producing nothing. It was horrible. Anyway it's all over now and the last couple of days I thought I'd have a good sit down with My Ruin and do some sketches. I sketched and all and did a couple of groovy things but I'm still having a little trouble. Amongst other things I've done a few little sketchy doodles of Sho, and it's not working, some of is good, for me but it doesn't look like her. I've got a couple that do look like her but one is a bit rough and the other is just a head and arm. Blerg! Sho is one of my favourite original character and it really pisses me of that I can't draw her over again, sure all my comics with her are done on the tablet but I've done plenty of pencil and paper stuff with her before. I really want to make headway with G and Sho and all their friends and get a couple of super good pictures of them done, I Shall try again today! |

Guys, Guys, Guys never get trapped in A Volcano It is always great for relation ships.
This to way too forever to finish. In wasn't really individual panels that took a long time, three and four probably took only an evening each, but after getting each part done it was a while before I moved onto the next part. Proper storyboarding probably would have helped too. There are quite a few things in there I'm not particularly happy with by I'm not going to go into the right now. Really it would just be nitpicking and whining, it's done now, leave it. Plus there are things about it's I'm pretty happy with, like the colouring, though after this I think I might go back to the old black white and red....yeah, no I'm keeping to full colour, it's fun to do and I'm actually learning as I go along, yay trial and error!
Still not completely happy with speech bubbles, but I'm not sure I will ever be.
Anyway, hope you enjoy. |

So for a while now I've been planning and thinking about cosplay for Amecon an since it is not far off now I recently started to put things together. My priority cosplay was Kei Yuuki from the series Moyashimon. I had been looking at EGL dresses on E-bay but without a debit card they were pretty unobtainable and though I had put in a form to get a debit facility added to my current card it didn't seem to be happening anytime soon. Most of the dresses I was (were?) looking at would be coming from Hong Kong and I wasn't sure they would arrive in time once my building society had sorted its act out. So the other day I got up off my arses and went into London to Camden. Fuck yeah! Fuck that place is awesome! I was mainly looking for a good dress to match one of Kei's and some awesome shoes to go with it. I was a feared that the shop and market stool I knew sold Japanese and EGL dresses had been burnt down in the recent fired but luckily I found a couple of shops in the opposite market that catered to this niche. After much paroosing of the two shops I had found I decided to by this awesome dress here. It wasn't the exact one I was looking for but I wanted it all the same and thought it would still do well for the cosplay. So I bought it and a nice collar/bracelet combo thing. Then I started looking for shoes but as I did so I stumbled upon a tiny little market stool tucked away in a corner that had on sale a dress that matched one of Kei's very closely. After a budgeting dilemma (another dress=no shoes) I decided to get the dress. Oh how terrible to now have two awesome dresses when I only went out for one, oh woe! I came back to Buckingham pleased with my purchase but worrying a little over shoes. Not to fear though as after find 5 gold on a bug bear I found these lovely shoes in Milton Keynes. Gosh they are cute and wonderful.

I dressed up in the first dress I bought and my friend Sherry did my make up and hair. It was all in aid of going to the private view for the MK college art exhibition where some of my work is being displayed. Unfortunately it took to long dolling myself up and we missed the event. Which was a bit upsetting actually but I'll get over it. I'd like to find another occasion to get dressed up and go out. Something free, no monies. |

I finally get round to doing a new comic and I get stuck after the first panel. I'm having real trouble just starting the second. When it is done it will be in a slightly different format from my previous S&G comic which were all straight forward left to right comic or top to bottom. I'm also working on a sing picture of the two of them but it's big and I am the suck so it's hard going. There are a couple of bits I'm quite pleased with but I just have no clue when it comes to some aspects of digital colouring, bleh. Anyway preview away.

Also I might finally get round to creating some new userpics for LJ. |

Man I just had an awesome dream, Mr.spock was in it and he was all up in some ninja garb and beating up some guy with Vulcan kung-fu.
Vasquez from Aliens was there too. I think the dream was actually me watching some summer blockbuster like film. Starbuck or at least someone a lot like her was in it too but I don't really like Starbuck.
It wasn't a sc-fi though. |
